How to connect your iPad to Clean Router

To connect your iPad to Pandora’s Hope, please follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Settings icon 
  2. Select “Wi-Fi”, and click on the PandorasHope network
  3. If prompted for a password, please enter the wireless security key created during the setup wizard.    (By default it is set to your ten digit telephone number.)

How to connect your iPhone to Clean Router

Select the Settings icon 

Select “Wi-Fi”, and click on the Pandora’s Hope network

How to connect your Android smartphone to Clean Router

Select the Settings icon  

Then select the “Wireless & Networks” menu

Select “Wi-Fi”, and click on the PandorasHope network

If prompted for a password, please enter the wireless security key created during the setup wizard. (By default it is set to your ten digit telephone number.)

How to connect your Mac to the wireless network

Select the AirPort icon at the top

Click on the PandorasHope network

If prompted for a password, please enter the wireless security key created during the setup wizard. (By default it is set to your ten digit telephone number.)

How to connect your Windows computer to the wireless network

Select the Wireless Network icon on the task bar

In that list of networks will be PandorasHope

Right-click on the PandorasHope network and click connect.

If prompted for a password, please enter the wireless security key created during the setup wizard. (By default it is set to your ten digit telephone number.)

How to connect a device with an Ethernet cable

To connect a device with an Ethernet cable, plug in one end of the Ethernet cable into any of the four black ports on the back of Pandora’s Hope. Connect the other end into the device.

Accessing the Management Interface

The management interface is an administrative website where the user can access important system settings and filtering tools.

To access the administrative site:

-Open an internet browser, and enter in one of these two addresses into the address bar:

     192.168.2.1

     local.cleanrouter.com

Alternatively, the user could navigate to CleanRouter.com and then select the Settings  link at the top of the page.

The user will then be prompted for a password. This requires the administrative password.

iPhone & iPad App Update Issues

If you are having issues updating the Apps on your IOS device, please white list the addresses below. (Click Here for more information on using the white list)

  • apple.com
  • phobos.apple.com
  • itunes.apple.com

If the three addresses above do not solve the issue, please try white listing the additional addresses below:

  • ax.itunes.apple.com
  • albert.apple.com
  • gs.apple.com
  • r.mzstatic.com

 

Blocking Google Plus

If you are having trouble blocking Google + or Google hangouts, please follow the steps below:

1) Log on to the Clean Router’s admin-portal page (192.168.2.1 or local.cleanrouter.com)

2) Click on the ‘Black List’ section on the left side column

3) Copy, paste, and add the following addresses to the list.

clients4.google.com
clients3.google.com
clients2.google.com
clients1.google.com
clients0.google.com
clients.google.com
client-channel.google.com
plus.google.com

4) Once finished, click the save button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

That’s it! This should break Google+ and Google hangouts without breaking the Google Web Search.

Shellshock Vulnerability – We’re Safe!

The Shellshock vulnerability is a bug that affects a large number of devices running the Linux operating system, and could allow unauthorized access to a system.

The Clean Router is NOT affected by this bug, and is completely safe.
