Automatic Updates

Never worry about updating your router! The Clean Router automatically updates itself and keeps you running the latest software patches without having to do anything!

Content Filtering

  • Content categories you can toggle individually — Adult, Gambling, Drugs, Malware, AI Tools, Proxies, Phishing, Violence, and more

  • Custom lists — add sites to your Blacklist, Whitelist, or block entire domain extensions (like .xxx) via the TLD Blacklist

Per-Device Controls

  • Name your devices with friendly names so you know which device is which
  • Time restrictions — set internet access hours per device on a weekly grid
  • Device scheduling — turn WiFi on/off, or toggle whitelist/blacklist state for specific sites on a schedule on a weekly grid
  • Internet kill switch — instantly disable internet for any individual device

VPN & Bypass Prevention

  • VPN blocking — blocks 11 common VPN/proxy ports (PPTP, IPSec, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, HTTP proxy)

Mesh Nodes (Optional Upgrade)

  • Enable/disable mesh from the dashboard with one click
  • Add SB Node extenders to expand coverage — nodes auto-configure WiFi credentials and IP from the gateway router on first boot
  • Live node status — see each mesh node’s signal strength (dBm), throughput, SNR, and online/offline status with auto-refresh
  • Seamless roaming between the router and nodes (802.11r/k/v enabled under the hood)

Guest Network

  • Separate Guest WiFi with its own SSID and password, configurable during setup and from the Wireless Settings page
  • Fully isolated — guest devices are on a separate subnet and firewalled from your main network. They get internet access and DNS filtering, but cannot see or communicate with devices on your primary WiFi
  • Guest network DNS traffic is filtered through the same content filter as the main network

WireGuard VPN Server

  • Built-in WireGuard VPN — connect to your home/office network securely from anywhere
  • VPN traffic is routed through the content filter, so your filtering rules apply even when connected remotely
  • Client configuration management from the dashboard
