Former American Idol contestant speaks out against pornography

Carmen Rasmussen Herbert, an Season 2 American Idol contestant, defended the “Fight the New Drug” movement and condemned pornography today in a Deseret News article.

“What makes pornography kill love is the fact that it takes that very element out of sex that is supposed to be an expression of love and total commitment. Sex without love — especially the kind pornography promotes — is so damaging because it bonds an individual to an act rather than a person, ” she writes.

We agree, Carmen!
