Teens consider cyberbullying worse than face to face

 

Vodafone commissioned a survey from YouGov to ask 4,720 teenagers about cyberbullying. Sure enough, cyberbullying is a part of many teenagers’ lives, whether they or a friend have been affected.

 

Interestingly enough, over half of teenagers consider cyberbullying worse than face to face harassment. Cyberbullies have the advantages of anonymity and ubiquity. Their targets don’t know whom to trust, and they can’t walk away. While bullying has always existed, technology has given bullies more tools and more power.
