Diablo IV to Have Third Beta Before Launch:
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that they will hold a third beta for Diablo IV, called the “Server Slam” beta. The beta will run from May 12th to 14th and will focus on testing server durability in preparation for the game’s live launch in June. This open beta will allow players to earn unique horse armor by taking down the world boss Ashava. All classes will be available, and the beta will include updates and tweaks based on feedback from the first two betas. Progress made during previous betas will not carry over to this one, nor will progress here carry over to the live game.
Timing of the Beta:
The beta’s timing overlaps with the release of Tears of the Kingdom (May 12th–14th), one of the most anticipated games of the year. This move may seem unwise, as the beta’s goal is to get as many people online as possible, but it remains to be seen if it will affect participation.
